I can relate. I think, why force the issue when time will make your argument for you. I took a class years ago which touched on the subject of, "needing to be right." It can cause conflict in marriages as we need to be right about silly things like how the dishwasher is loaded, laundry done, etc. I am writing this after the Fauci Diary/hearing. If you're f&f aren't hearing it by now, they probably never will. That, or the way the MSM continues to protect Fauci, they might be in the wrong algorithm.
I have not had one person tell me that I was right,hey were wrong. I have to choose which is most important, a relationship w them or my need to be right. After a major blow up during Covid, they all came to a surprise birthday party for me. I felt the weight of the world lifted off of me. I decided then that a relationship was most important. It still isn't perfect but I think based on the fact that I don't think they are getting boosters, they get it.
What worries me most is my daughter in law continues to vaccinate my grandchildren. My son defers to her, the one w a doctorate in PT, to keep the peace. She is careful about every kind of chemical from food dyes to plastic, but continues to vaccinate. I want to see my grandchildren so have resorted to prayer (and an occasional FB post in hopes that she will see them...) 😉

As a person who worked closely with "essential workers" during COVID, I'd like to add perspective. The ground floor of dealing with COVID was a real state of emergency. Herd immunity was inevitable, and all the attempts the CDC and leadership made at the time to distance people was in an effort to slow the rate of spread and therefore slow the influx of people to the hospitals. Vaccines go through rigorous testing and reviews; yes, there was a "rush" on those that came out, but they still went through testing and review. All vaccines have risks, and as far as I know, no one denied that; the benefits tends to outweigh the risks. I'm not denying that there were problems, that we were lied to, or that there wasn't some other games afoot. I'm just saying, from a healthcare workers perspective, it wasn't a conspiracy how bad it was...
All vaccines are toxic Alicia, and cause adverse effects to varying degrees. Appearance of benefits is just that, appearance, a statistical illusion reinforced by persistent advertising and rebranding of disease.

Public health is a VERY studied field though, and I worked with people on the COVID rapid response team reporting to the President. I do have insight into the science/"rational" side as well. Regardless, it is pretty cruel to tell someone to be rational about the amount of people dying alongside the avenue of death. Have you lost a loved one? Have you lost a loved one to COVID? Do you have empathy? Empathy is VITAL to our existence.
